Senior Electrical Project Manager
MXI Partners is collaborating with a top-tier electrical contractor supporting new construction and interior buildouts for major data center infrastructure clients in Texas. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical field operations and drive project delivery across the state.
Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of assigned electrical projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
Act as the primary point of accountability for project scope, schedule, cost control, and performance outcomes
Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking; identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions
Interpret and manage project drawings, technical specifications, schedules, and resource requirements
Oversee project documentation processes, including change management, submittals, RFIs, schedule updates, time tracking, and project correspondence
Coordinate closely with field leadership to align labor, materials, equipment, and sequencing priorities
Monitor project progress through regular site reviews and performance evaluations
Establish and track quality, productivity, and safety benchmarks for assigned projects
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations
Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to project teams and clients as needed
Collaborate with leadership on project planning, pricing strategies, and margin objectives
Review estimates, scopes of work, and vendor or subcontractor proposals for accuracy and alignment
Support procurement activities, including review of bid documents and vendor selection processes
Promote effective cross-functional collaboration and communication across departments
Utilize standardized project management and cost control systems consistently across all work
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, high-complexity electrical construction projects
Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution and low-voltage systems
Proficiency in common project management, estimating, and documentation software tools
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and make data-driven decisions
Experience with electrical estimating or takeoff software platforms
Professional certifications related to project management or construction
Experience in technically demanding environments such as mission-critical or infrastructure projects
