Responsibilities
Provide detailed feedback to product and design engineering on all new product launches specifically in regard to tooling, process, machine rates, and capability analysis
Upon part kick-off, work with teams to create project timelines that meet customer delivery and assist with PPAP requirements
Drive manufacturing principles of Lean Manufacturing
Review Engineering Change Requests and drive to resolution
Continuous improvement projects associated with the manufacturing process including inventory reductions, working capital turns, and complexity management
Manage a wide variety of projects including vendor services, Six Sigma, Lean initiatives, and new equipment selection and implementation
Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues within the existing product lines
Validate plant capital equipment/capacity needs available to support new product and existing product growth
Qualification
Required
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Proficient with CAD and 3D modeling
Preferred
5+ years of related metal manufacturing experience
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and MRP systems
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
Proven record of cost reduction within a manufacturing facility and writing technical reports
