Responsibilities
Support maximization of collections and timely resolution of patient and insurance balances
Counsel patients on insurance coverage, financial responsibility, and available assistance options
Identify, research, and resolve billing errors, underpayments, or denials affecting account resolution
Take appropriate action on accounts based on established priority guidelines
Collaborate with peers and revenue cycle teams to resolve issues efficiently
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in healthcare insurance billing, patient accounting, or account follow-up
Strong knowledge of patient accounting systems
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to meet hospital compliance requirements (background check, health & drug screening)
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Prior experience with Medicaid and Charity Care programs
