Aegis Worldwide is seeking a CNC Machinist for a client in the Glendale Heights, IL area. This role is a 6 month contract to hire position that requires the ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently, along with experience in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently through job completion
Experience operating both CNC lathes and milling machines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
Working knowledge of GD&T
Proficiency with precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
Experience with common CNC controls and machine types including Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, and Okuma
Basic understanding of G-code and M-code
Experience using Mastercam
Experience machining carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Required

High school diploma or GED
3+ years of hands-on experience as a CNC machinist
Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently through job completion

Proficiency with precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges

Preferred

Multi axis machine experience
Any programming experience (would send $$ if they have this and can program their own machines)
