Responsibilities
Prepare and file Surrogate’s Court petitions and related probate and administration documents
Support attorneys with Estate Administration, Estate Planning, and Elder Law matters
Maintain heavy client contact, including gathering documentation and providing case updates
Draft and prepare legal documents, including:
Wills
Trusts
Powers of Attorney
Health Care Proxies
Guardianship applications
Additional Surrogate’s Court filings
Manage case files, deadlines, and court requirements with a high level of accuracy and organization
Qualification
Required
Prior experience as a Paralegal in an Estates/Trusts or Probate department
Paralegal Certificate
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent client service skills
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
Experience with HotDocs
Knowledge of Time Matters is a plus
