Intern - Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Silicon Valley Chapter is offering an internship opportunity with the Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) for individuals interested in making a difference in their community. The DEI Intern will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Assist on researching best practices techniques in employee engagement across various department and demographic populations
Help develop surveys and other assessment tools to gauge program effectiveness
Participate with planning and facilitating internal and external outreach events (e.q., Employee Resource group activities, career fairs)
Assist in developing the marketing materials across multiple platforms
Qualification
Required
Has the equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and current enrollment or a recent graduate of an accredited college, university, or educational institution with major coursework in public administration, business management, organizational development, human resources management, industrial/organizational psychology, and/or other related fields
Is solutions-focused and a creative problem-solver
Is a motivated self-starter with effective interpersonal and technical skills
Is an organized and results-driven team player
Preferred
Full-time or part-time during Spring 2026, and/or
Full-time during Summer 2026
