Sales Engineer
Performance Stamping LLC is seeking a high impact Sales Engineer with proven success in selling metal stamping and forming programs. The role focuses on driving profitable growth through new business development, managing key accounts, and collaborating closely with engineering and purchasing teams to deliver manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities
Win new business: Prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities focused on metal stamping and forming, including progressive stamping, reel to reel, loose piece stampings, and stamped subassemblies
Grow key accounts: Expand assigned accounts by identifying new programs, new part opportunities, and related stamped components
Lead technical discovery: Interpret prints, clarify requirements, and bring Engineering in early to improve manufacturability, reduce risk, and drive cost down
Own the customer side of quoting: Drive scope alignment, assumptions, timelines, and follow up. Coordinate with internal quoting to ensure pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned to manufacturing reality. Serve as backup support for quoting activities as needed
Support program launches and transfers: Coordinate timing, sampling, tooling approach, and customer deliverables such as PPAP and APQP when required
Operate with pipeline discipline: Maintain accurate CRM activity, opportunity stages, forecasts, and close plans. Provide market insight on competitors, target industries, and customer needs
Drive profitable growth: Own pricing and margin discipline and be accountable for profitable bookings and long-term account health
Be the voice of the customer: Bring structured feedback into Engineering, Operations, and Quoting to improve execution, responsiveness, and customer experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical sales
Prior B2B sales experience in metal stamping and forming, with a strong emphasis on progressive stamping
Demonstrated ability to close complex, engineered opportunities with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
Strong technical fluency in stamping and forming fundamentals including materials, tolerances, press capacity, tooling approach, and common secondary operations
Ability to interpret technical drawings and 3D models using common CAD viewers or modeling software
Strong commercial skills including quoting strategy, pricing, margins, profitability, and understanding of EBITDA drivers
Experience with CRM tools, pipeline management, forecasting discipline, and consistent follow up
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship building skills across engineering and business audiences
Self-starter mindset with high energy and strong follow through
Preferred
Experience with deep draw stamping, roll forming, or other metal forming processes
Knowledge of plastic injection molding or insert molding
Established network within metal stamping and forming supply chains, with existing relationships across engineering and purchasing stakeholders
Experience selling into automotive, aerospace, appliance, medical, and electronics markets
