Responsibilities

Review/update Standard Operating Procedures related to composite structure manufacturing
Evaluate and implement tractable solutions to technical problems involving tape wrapped composite pressure vessel
Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, standard operating procedures, quality requirements (both customer and company), and applicable safety requirements for handling composite material
Prepares comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports, and presentations for customer reviews (both internal and external)
Knowledge of composite manufacturing techniques
Travel: 25%
Ability to obtain a US security clearance

Required

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering composite processing experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering composite processing experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Manufacturing Engineering composite processing experience
Ability to obtain a US security clearance

Preferred

Degree in material science, composites, or related science is preferred
Tape wrap experience is preferred
Technical experience in the composite manufacturing environment is preferred
Tooling or component design using various CAD software packages
3d printing techniques and experience
Experience with composite molding techniques, statistical analysis, data acquisition is a plus
Composite theory, compositions, and modeling are a plus
