UX Research Intern
Dolby Laboratories is a leader in entertainment innovation, offering an internship program that provides impactful, project-based work experience. The UX Research Intern will assist the User Experience team in executing research projects and creating tools for non-researchers to conduct lightweight research.

Responsibilities
Competitive analyses
Heuristic evaluations
Site maps/user flow maps
Programming surveys/unmoderated tests into research platform
Run simple evaluative studies/simple interviews once comfortable
Draft research plans/session guides and participant recruitment screeners
Support participant selection and scheduling
Note taking live sessions
Assisting data analysis/synthesis
Support creating artifacts (personas, journey maps, etc.) and report writing
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Design, or related field)
Basic understanding of UX principles and user-centered design
Familiarity with qualitative research methods (interviews, usability testing) is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively
Comfortable with common productivity tools (e.g., Office, Teams)
Interest in learning and applying UX research practices in a professional setting
Preferred
Coursework or projects related to UX research
Experience with tools like Figma, Miro, survey platforms (optional)
Located in the San Francisco Bay Area for potential in-person collaboration
