This role is responsible for developing and leading a research program focused on pediatric epilepsy, overseeing research projects, and preparing grant proposals.

Responsibilities
Develop and lead a research program focused on advancing the field of pediatric epilepsy and related neurodevelopmental disorders
Conduct independent and collaborative research in areas such as seizure pathophysiology, development of epilepsy biomarkers, neurogenesis, neuroimaging, neurophysiology, neuromodulation, brain network analysis, and clinic outcomes in children with epilepsy
Oversee the design, initiation, execution, analysis, and publication of both retrospective and prospective research projects
Contribute to the development of complex, high-impact epilepsy research protocols conducted at the organization
Prepare and submit grant proposals
Qualification
Required
5 years relevant research experience conducting basic, clinical, and/or translational science
Proven capable of successfully obtaining and managing intramural and extramural funding (e.g., grants, endowments, etc.)
Several publications, as senior author, of impactive scientific results in the peer-reviewed medical and/or scientific literature
Doctorate (MD, PhD) in a biomedical discipline aligned with the departmental orientation, medical and/or surgical specialty
