Responsibilities
Investigate, manage and track freight claims, which can include damages, shortage, temperature issues, loss, etc
Manage the entire claims process from intake to resolution
Gather documents like PODs, BOLs, invoices, and photos to support claims
Communicate with carriers, customers, and our internal team to resolve issues
Ensure the accuracy of customer data / claim filing and protect the company’s financial interests
Review carrier responses and negotiate settlements with carriers to recover losses or resolve billing discrepancies
Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, or anomalies, and generate reports for management
Qualification
Required
Experience in claims management
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills are critical
Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines
Proficiency in logistics software and understanding of supply chain management systems, along with Excel
Preferred
Logistics, transportation or related role within a 3PL environment is preferred
