Dedicated Account Manager - Fleet Operations

Best Logistics Group is seeking an ambitious and proactive Account Manager for their Fleet Operations Team. The role involves leading a team of drivers, managing customer relationships, and ensuring operational success within a live-haul based operation.

Responsibilities

Leading and developing a team of drivers that support success and growth with our customer base
Managing all equipment assigned to your customer base
Creating long-term, trusting relationships with your customers
Overseeing a portfolio of assigned customers, and serving as a first point of contact for them, and for the drivers assigned to them
Ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance, hours of service compliance, and cost control
Daily accounting of all assigned tractors and drivers; will ensure our drivers have a good understanding of all details of their assigned customer and company expectations on every load, at point of dispatch
Developing new business from existing customers
Actively seek new sales opportunities
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations
Assist in driver screening, interviewing, and hiring processes
Payroll, billing, and invoicing as required
Previous experience supporting agricultural business, particularly live haul operations, is a plus
