Responsibilities

Identify and develop business opportunities and build relationships with customers and thought leaders in your Territory (San Diego area and Arizona)
Take ownership of all Malvern Panalytical products and solutions
Drive direct sales of Malvern Panalytical products through in-person visits, virtual engagements, conferences, and exhibitions
Collaborate with technical and product teams to resolve application issues and coordinate product demonstrations
Lead account development activities and gain a deep understanding of customer processes
Develop and nurture strong customer relationships, positioning us as the go-to provider for our full portfolio
Proactively generate new commercial opportunities across all technologies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
Provide monthly reports summarizing activities, wins/losses, forecasts, market conditions, and competitive insights
Evaluate territory performance and propose an annual Territory Sales Plan

Qualification

Required

Strong understanding of sales processes, customer buying behavior, and value-based selling
Ability to grasp complex scientific and engineering concepts and translate them into customer benefits
Skilled in assessing customer data, market trends, and performance metrics to inform strategy
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Passion for delivering solutions that truly make a difference
Proactive, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or business discipline
Experience in B2B technical sales, preferably in analytical instrumentation or laboratory solutions
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
Willingness to travel
