Program Director
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is dedicated to supporting youth development, and they are seeking a Program Director for Carteret County. The Program Director will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs for youth aged 6 to 18, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and providing leadership to program leaders and volunteers.

Responsibilities
Establish Club program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission
Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals
Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s)
Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members
Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
Promotes and stimulates daily learning as well as participation in designated national and special event programs
Orient new members to program areas, special events, and opportunities as well as Club safety, program and disciplinary rules
Provides guidance and role modeling to members and YDPs
Implements, monitors and evaluates programs, services and activities for members
Develops and posts weekly and monthly program plans
Monitors and evaluates programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members and quality in programs
Recognizes Club members for program participation and achievement
Maintains records to track attendance and participation
Monitors supply needs
Keeps supply room neat and orderly
Maintain CACFP point of services and clean up
Ensures program areas are attractive, neat and clean and bulletin boards/notices are current
Makes and/or recommends needed repairs to facility and/or equipment
Increase visibility of Club programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers, media releases and social media
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 21 years of age. (Childcare site only)
Must possess a bachelor's degree or higher from an institution of higher learning, or an equivalent amount of training and experience
Must complete BSAC training (company-paid) within three (3) months of employment (Childcare site only)
Must submit three (3) professional references
Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications, or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment
A minimum of 1 year of direct youth service experience and will have a demonstrable record of planning and implementing youth programs
Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of three years where: There is experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development
Formal training, and/or experience teaching youth while creating engaging learning experiences
Supervising and training others
Preferred
Strong project management and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a team player
Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
Ability to deal with the general public
Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth
Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
