Responsibilities
Own qualification-level environmental testing across thermal, altitude, vibration, humidity, and related domains
Develop verification plans, procedures, margins, and acceptance criteria
Lead test readiness reviews (TRRs), execution, anomaly resolution, and reporting
Partner cross-functionally with avionics, structures, systems engineering, and operations teams
Drive continuous improvement of test infrastructure, equipment, and vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as MIL-STD-810 and internal quality expectations
Present results and recommendations to engineering and program leadership
Qualification
Required
BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Test Engineering, or related field
5+ years of environmental or qualification testing experience in aerospace or complex hardware systems
Proven campaign ownership from planning through final reporting
Strong technical communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Stratospheric, space, UAV, or high-altitude system testing experience
Startup or rapid-development aerospace program background
Familiarity with regulatory or certification testing requirements
