Responsibilities
Perform structural inspections of bridges, buildings, and related structures during various stages of construction
Verify that construction work conforms to design drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Prepare detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and photographic documentation
Identify construction deficiencies and communicate findings to project engineers and contractors
Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions
Maintain accurate and organized inspection records in accordance with project requirements
Interact professionally with clients, contractors, and design teams
Qualification
Required
Experience in structural inspection, construction inspection, or a related engineering field
Knowledge of structural materials such as concrete, steel, and masonry, and common construction practices
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear, concise written reports
Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection tasks
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (AASHTO, ACI, TxDOT, or similar)
CGC or PE required
Structural inspection experience
Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET or similar inspection credentials)
Experience working with engineering consulting firms or public infrastructure projects
