Federal AI Machine Learning Sales Engineer - SME

Responsibilities
Support customers leveraging next-generation infrastructure to drive innovation in the Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) field
Solve complex problems using data and algorithms
Build pipelines for data ingestion, training, and deployment, as well as automate repetitive tasks
Work closely with stakeholders from engineering, sales, and program management
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in at least two programming languages is essential for ML engineers. Python and R are popular choices, but familiarity with Java, Rust, or MATLAB can also be beneficial
Knowledge of popular ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-learn is crucial for building and deploying machine learning models
The ability to preprocess and engineer data is critical in preparing it for training and testing machine learning models
Understanding metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, mean squared error (MSE), and R-squared, as well as techniques like cross-validation and model selection, is vital for evaluating and selecting ML models
Familiarity with statistical concepts such as probability, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and regression analysis is necessary for understanding the underlying principles of machine learning
Understanding data structures (e.g., arrays, linked lists, trees) and algorithms (e.g., sorting, searching, clustering) is essential for efficient data processing and modeling
Travel up to 10% of the time, as required, to perform on-site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites or data centers
Active TS/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph
Have current IAM Level II to satisfy DOD 8570 IAT requirements
Preferred
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform, or Azure Machine Learning can be beneficial for deploying and managing ML models
Familiarity with deep learning techniques, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and long short-term memory (LSTM) networks, is highly desirable
Understanding of computer vision concepts such as image processing, object detection, segmentation, and tracking can be useful for applications involving visual data
Knowledge of NLP techniques, including text preprocessing, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and topic modeling, is valuable for applications involving human language
Understanding business operations, market trends, and industry-specific challenges can help ML engineers develop more effective solutions that address real-world problems
