Fuel Quality Inspector
The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is responsible for promoting and improving agriculture and consumer services. They are seeking a Fuel Quality Inspector to enforce fuel quality standards and conduct laboratory tests on various fuel types.

Responsibilities
Performing standardized laboratory tests and analysis of motor fuel (gasoline, diesel, kerosene) quality at retail and other locations
Enforcing laws and regulations concerning fuel quality
Collecting motor fuel and oil samples for the central lab
Investigating consumer complaints
Qualification
Required
Must have a valid North Carolina driver's license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire
Basic computer skills – used to create documents, communicate through email, and utilize web-based programs to access and enter data into information management applications
Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures
Some public relations or customer service experience
Ability to express technical information clearly, both orally and in writing, to a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders
Associate's degree in one of the chemical, biological, microbiological, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum including related chemistry laboratory coursework from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
