Responsibilities

Develop, document, and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based SaaS applications
Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance, security, and usability
Ensure the correctness of end-to-end workflows and be able to troubleshoot lower-level issues across the UI, API, and database
Utilize existing test cases and create additional positive and negative test cases based on client scenarios to thoroughly test platform changes
Design and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Develop automated tests for regression, performance, and load testing
Identify, document, and track defects in JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools
Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
Provide detailed reports on test progress, defects, and software quality metrics
Communicate effectively with client stakeholders regarding testing strategies, status, and outcomes
Articulate testing plans, status updates, and final outcomes clearly and concisely with clients to ensure alignment and transparency
Be available to be onsite with the client multiple days per week as needed to facilitate effective product testing and communication
Define and improve QA best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives

Required

4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation
Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or other test automation tools
Strong expertise in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Locust, or Gatling24
Knowledge of database testing (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred

ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
equivalent certifications
