UHY-US is seeking a Temp Director of Accounting & Finance to join their team in a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate will partner closely with the President to manage key accounting and finance functions while improving financial processes and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, review, and reporting
Ensure accuracy and compliance across financial statements and tax requirements
Own cash management, including AR, AP, and short-term cash forecasting
Build and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the President and leadership team
Develop and maintain financial reporting and dashboards (margin, pricing, cash, AR)
Improve accounting processes, controls, and system integrations
Drive automation and reduce manual reporting efforts
Partner with leadership to support pricing, margin, and profitability decisions
Assess current staff, stabilize execution, and recommend future structure

Required

10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Proven hands-on ownership of close and financial operations
Strong cash flow, forecasting, and decision-support experience
High integrity, strong attention to detail, and steady communication style

Preferred

CPA preferred, not required
Experience with modern reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
Background in technology or IT services a plus
