Responsibilities
Building inbound material acquisition relationships with trucking companies, excavation contractors, and site operators
Developing outbound sales across specification sands, aggregates, and concrete materials
Operating at the site level, on jobs, in boots and hi-vis, not behind a desk
Helping shape how the commercial function grows as the business scales
Drive inbound material volumes by engaging directly with hauliers, excavation firms, and contractors
Build outbound sales across aggregates, sands, drainage rock, concrete aggregates, #57 stone, pea gravel, clay, and related materials
Work job sites unannounced when required, extracting decision-makers and opportunities
Operate across a tight 30–40 mile commercial radius where transport economics matter
Act as a commercial operator, not a process follower
Help refine pricing, positioning, and go-to-market approach in a fast-growth environment
Qualification
Required
Senior-level business development or sales experience in aggregates, excavation, contracting, or construction services
Proven comfort operating in unstructured, high-ambiguity environments
A street-smart, commercially credible presence with operators and decision-makers
The confidence to walk onto sites, start conversations, and build trust quickly
An entrepreneurial mindset, low ego, high initiative
No reliance on corporate process, CRM theatre, or MBA language
Backgrounds often include excavation, general contracting, materials, or former business ownership
Not junior, not purely technical, not corporate sales
Preferred
Fort Worth or nearby base strongly preferred
