Meeting Event Planner
Dot Foods is a family-owned company that focuses on making food products more accessible and affordable. They are seeking a Meeting Event Planner responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating corporate meeting activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and budgeting.
Responsibilities
Lead planning process with key stakeholders by assessing meeting objectives and logistical requirements. Manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines to produce desired outcomes
Perform due diligence in vendor selection and contract negotiations
Develop and maintain internal processes to ensure consistent improvements in performance
Perform intermediate budgetary duties including expense management and budget creation
Work collaboratively with meeting team to ensure delivery of high-quality events
Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Effective communication and follow-up skills
Professional and positive attitude
Ability to cope with fast-paced environment
Ability to operate under pressure to keep critical deadlines
Meeting & event planning or hospitality industry experience
Preferred
Critical thinking and analysis skills
Creativity
Organizational skills
Demonstrated aptitude for budget development and business analysis
Experience using Cvent
