Senior Landscape Architect/Designer
ZEN Associates, Inc. is a premier Design + Build firm specializing in landscape architecture, interior design, and construction services. They are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Landscape Architect/Designer to work closely with a dynamic design team on exceptional projects, from concept development to construction implementation.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, site-specific design solutions
Lead the design process for complex projects, producing high-quality conceptual designs, construction documentation, and presentation materials
Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations using a combination of freehand and digital graphics
Oversee site assessments, analyze existing conditions, and contribute to field layout and construction administration
Develop planting plans with an advanced understanding of the New England palette
Engage in municipal permitting processes, including zoning reviews, public speaking, and presentations
Work seamlessly with architects, civil engineers, consultants, project managers, and contractors to ensure project success
Qualification
Required
8+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture or design
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, site-specific design solutions
Experience leading the design process for complex projects, producing high-quality conceptual designs, construction documentation, and presentation materials
Ability to prepare and deliver compelling client presentations using a combination of freehand and digital graphics
Experience overseeing site assessments, analyzing existing conditions, and contributing to field layout and construction administration
Ability to develop planting plans with an advanced understanding of the New England palette
Experience engaging in municipal permitting processes, including zoning reviews, public speaking, and presentations
Ability to work seamlessly with architects, civil engineers, consultants, project managers, and contractors to ensure project success
Proven project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, and SketchUp; strong freehand and computer graphic skills
Comprehensive knowledge of design and construction processes, including permitting, construction administration, and implementation
Familiarity with zoning laws, municipal permitting, and public presentation
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, proposals, and presentations
Preferred
