Responsibilities
Investigates and prosecutes a wide variety of complex financial crimes
Partners with Federal, State and Local agencies to investigate crimes
Proactively investigates emerging scams
Uses a full spectrum of investigative tools to investigate and prosecute fraudsters, including electronic and physical surveillance, undercover operations, developing informants and cooperating witnesses, financial document review, subpoenaing bank and financial institutions and executing search warrants to return ill-gotten funds to their rightful owner and deprive fraudsters of the financial incentive to commit crimes
Investigates allegations of investment scams, romance scams, and insurance scams, employee embezzlements, financial crimes against the elderly, insurance crimes, trademark counterfeiting, and financial crimes against government revenue
Qualification
Required
J.D. Degree
Active Member Of The New York State Bar In Good Standing
At Least 15 Years Post-J.D. Experience
Extensive experience in handling all aspects of criminal investigation and prosecution
White-Collar and tax crimes experience
Electronic Communications Interception experience
Substantial felony jury trial experience
Prior experience managing attorneys and support staff
Supervising on-call riding attorneys
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
