10+ years expStealth Startup is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive their backend platform development. This role involves leading the platform architecture and collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver a high-performance, scalable communication platform.

Architect and develop core platform
Design and optimize real-time communication systems
Ensure high performance, secure, and scalable platform operation
Driving the culture of technical excellency, testing standards, release and support processes
Hands-on development and leadership for remote and distributed teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years of software engineering experience building high performance backend systems
Expert knowledge of server-side development with Python (fastapi, uvicorn, etc.)
Built large scale RDBMS applications on top of PostgreSQL
Significant experience with real-time data synchronization and low-latency APIs (i.e.WebSockets, WebRTC, SSE, gRPC, Socket.IO, Firebase, Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.)
Real-time communication system experience is a big plus (i.e. understand how platforms like Signal work)
Expert knowledge of development on top of major cloud providers (GCP, AWS) using Kubernetes and cloud platform toolset. Terraforming, Helm, ArgoCD
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and code quality frameworks
Excellent communication skills and prior success leading and mentoring remote teams
Preferred
Real-time communication system experience is a big plus (i.e. understand how platforms like Signal work)
