Responsibilities
Partner closely with technology leadership, senior engineers, and support teams to design, develop, and implement scalable technical solutions
Lead infrastructure architecture and design efforts, including research and development of new or enhanced systems
Define and maintain technology standards, policies, and best practices
Analyze business requirements, user needs, and operational constraints to deliver high-quality technical solutions
Perform unit testing, system integration, and support user acceptance testing
Independently engage with business stakeholders at various levels to clarify requirements and align solutions with business objectives
Coordinate and manage vendor interactions and external resources as needed
Mentor and coach junior engineers and technical staff; review designs, documentation, and proposed changes
Continuously expand knowledge of financial services technology trends, practices, and emerging tools
Promote and adhere to industry standards, architectural frameworks, and operational best practices
Maintain strong working knowledge of enterprise applications, systems, development environments, and vendor platforms
Ensure compliance with risk management, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards
Identify and escalate risk-related issues when appropriate
Support audit activities and timely remediation of audit or regulatory findings
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and professional work environment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or professional experience in systems design, engineering, management, or architecture
Strong understanding of system development and infrastructure lifecycles, IT service management, vendor best practices, and enterprise architecture principles
Senior-level Splunk architecture and engineering experience
Splunk SIEM design and architecture expertise
Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect or Splunk Core Certified Consultant certification
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of professional experience in a senior technical engineering role involving infrastructure design, system architecture, data management, and complex application development
Proven ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into structured, high-quality technical solutions
Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated expertise in relevant industry and vendor technologies
Experience working directly with stakeholders at varying levels to gather, document, and validate system requirements
Strong collaboration skills with architects, integrators, developers, and testers in fast-paced environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong influencing and facilitation abilities
Process-oriented, logical thinker with the ability to manage complex tasks independently
Strong knowledge of server/client architectures and virtual technologies
Adaptable and able to learn quickly in a rapidly changing technical environment
