Sr Manufacturing Engineer
GE Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Chemical Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and optimize departmental operations while driving technical excellence within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to ensure the successful startup and sustained performance of new process units, enhancing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost for market leading technology.

Responsibilities
Process Safety Leadership: Apply advanced technical expertise and analytical skills to implement and uphold Process Safety Management (PSM) standards in a regulated manufacturing environment
Process Optimization: Lead comprehensive troubleshooting efforts and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance operational efficiency
Innovative Problem Solving: Develop and propose creative solutions to address complex manufacturing challenges, leveraging technical knowledge and cross-functional collaboration to navigate interdependent production cycles
Mentorship and Team Development: Serve as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced colleagues, fostering skill development, facilitating consensus, and guiding team members toward shared goals
Change Management: Oversee and facilitate effective management of changes driven by unit requirements, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and operational standards
Technical Training: Lead or support the delivery of technical training programs for operators, enhancing their understanding and proficiency in process operations
Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify and initiate projects aimed at improving process performance, reliability, and efficiency, while driving measurable results
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Chemical Engineering)
A minimum of 5 years experience in a PSM-covered facility
Preferred
10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing
Technical Experience: Prior experience with unit startup and commissioning activities is preferred
Problem-Solving Methods: Experience with structured problem solving and proficient in one or more methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), DMAIC, or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
