Responsibilities
Interpret and validate data transformation and feature engineering pipelines derived from existing Java-based implementations
Execute Python‑converted models on historical datasets and compare performance metrics against Java model benchmarks
Partner with model validation teams to assess consistency, investigate metric deviations, and ensure model quality
Design and implement unit tests, validation scenarios, and reproducibility checks for all migrated models
Ingest and process model input data from parquet files using PySpark and pandas to replicate training and scoring workflows
Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and perform row-level prediction checks as needed
Collaborate with customer teams to understand model logic, structure, and parameter configurations for Java‑based XGBoost models
Qualification
Required
7–10 years of hands-on experience in Python for machine learning, including XGBoost, scikit‑learn, NumPy, and pandas
Proficiency with PySpark for reading, transforming, and analyzing large-scale parquet datasets
Experience validating, reverse engineering, or re‑implementing machine learning models from business logic or legacy systems
Familiarity with Java-based ML libraries or a strong understanding of how ML model internals translate across programming languages
Practical experience with Python meta‑modeling frameworks
Preferred
Experience collaborating with cross-functional model governance or validation teams
Background in EDA, feature pipeline analysis, or model interpretability
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot feature discrepancies and metric deviations
