Responsibilities
Lead and execute technical security risk assessments across county IT infrastructure
Perform and oversee internal & external penetration testing
Assess environments including servers, desktops, networks, firewalls, IAM, MFA, VPN, patching & vulnerability management
Develop standardized methodologies, templates, and assessment frameworks
Manage assessment teams, workloads, timelines, and deliverables
Create project plans, status reports, and executive-level documentation
Communicate complex security findings to non-technical stakeholders, leadership, and regulatory bodies
Qualification
Required
10+ Years of experience
7+ years in cybersecurity risk assessments & penetration testing
5+ years leading technical security assessments
Strong experience with vulnerability identification and exploit validation
7+ years managing technical teams and large programs
Hands-on experience with NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001
Excellent documentation, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred
State or Government project experience
Prior experience handling multi-county or enterprise-scale initiatives
