Responsibilities

Write, research and produce original short form videos for Veritasium
Work with Veritasium’s Writer/Directors to ensure we are creating short form content that supports, and expands on, our long form video output
Create content that resonates on short form platforms, with a particular focus on edit pacing, and creating impactful intro hooks
Develop video ideas that will delight the Veritasium audience
Write flawlessly accurate scripts that expand people’s understanding of the world
Continuously analyze video performance to ensure ideation and production is backed by data and audience insight
Analyse the short form video landscape across platforms to ensure our content is tailored to current platform best practices
Pitch ideas for branded content, in response to client briefs, where required
Give creative feedback to video editors
Consistency: ensure our short form content adheres to Veritasium brand values and audience expectations
Collaboration: work cross-functionally, building relationships with colleagues in Editorial, Brand Partnerships, Publishing and more

Required

Science degree
Track record of producing educational short form content
A strong understanding of short form video trends and retention tactics
Passion for Veritasium and its educational mission
Excellent level of technical knowledge in video production
Strong project management skills, with proven ability to drive projects forward and hit deadlines
Fantastic communication skills, with the ability to sell a video concept and build trust with Veritasium's creative team
Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics
Adept at analysing data and making data-driven decisions
