Infrastructure Support Lead

TechLine Consulting is seeking an Infrastructure Support Lead to oversee the stability and performance of the organization’s internal technology environment. This role involves hands-on system administration and acting as a primary owner of infrastructure, ensuring reliable operations across cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

Own the administration and reliability of internal infrastructure, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows servers, endpoints, backups, and device management
Monitor system health and performance; identify and resolve issues before they impact users or business operations
Act as the primary escalation resource for complex or recurring support issues beyond Tier 1
Execute routine maintenance including patching, updates, hardware lifecycle management, and environment clean-up
Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, including scheduled testing and validation of restore procedures
Administer Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint security configurations
Maintain accurate documentation covering systems architecture, configurations, recovery procedures, and operating standards
Coordinate closely with the MSP to ensure alignment on responsibilities, ticket handling, and service expectations
Support infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and new platform implementations
Partner with IT operations leadership on change management, onboarding workflows, and support queue prioritization
Work with cybersecurity stakeholders to implement secure configurations and remediate vulnerabilities
Prepare and provision equipment, accounts, and system access for new hires and role changes
Promote high standards for internal support quality, responsiveness, and follow-through
Identify trends in incidents or support requests and recommend improvements to tools or processes
Support networked printers and multifunction devices, including configuration, permissions, and maintenance
Provide Tier 2 support for third-party business systems including ERP, CRM, and other operational platforms

Required

Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
5+ years of experience supporting mixed cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, Windows Server, and endpoint management tools
Experience supporting backup and disaster recovery platforms such as Veeam or similar solutions
Proven troubleshooting ability across servers, workstations, printers, permissions, and system availability issues
Familiarity with patch management, device deployment tools, and scripting (PowerShell preferred)
Experience collaborating with managed service providers or external IT vendors
Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills

Preferred

Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or comparable certification
Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms
Background supporting infrastructure projects or technology refresh initiatives
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall concepts
