Responsibilities
Operate and program CNC machines to manufacture parts according to specifications
Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality and adherence to tolerances
Perform setup and adjustments on CNC machines, including tool changes and offsets
Interpret technical drawings and CAD models for machining processes
Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machining processes using Lean manufacturing principles
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in CNC machining with experience in operating Mazatrol systems preferred
Strong understanding of basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes
Ability to operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality assurance checks
A commitment to continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing practices
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to commute to Joliet, IL 60433 (Required)
Ability to relocate to Joliet, IL 60433 before starting work (Required)
Preferred
Familiarity with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a plus
Experience with SolidWorks, CAD, and CAM programming is highly desirable
Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is an advantage
