Responsibilities
Responsible for troubleshooting and the repair of complex problems
Responsible for the planning, organizing, and determination of materials needed to accomplish assigned tasks
Conducts the quarterly operation/exercising of all valves owned or operated by the SLFPA-E and generates/completes all reports on the operation and maintenance of said valves
Inspects and maintains all relief wells/still wells owned or operated by the SLFPA-E and prepares reports associated with wells
Inspects, repairs, and installs pumps for sewage lift systems, air lines, water lines, gas lines, etc. Interprets plans in order to complete projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
Assists other skilled journeyman in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and spray equipment on herbicide applicator trucks
Make, place and remove sandbags whenever needed. Place and remove barricades and traffic cones
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering plus one year of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses plus one year of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance
