Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and Services (API) testing
Implement automation across multiple projects, including framework-level enhancements
Customize and integrate Selenium and other automation tools with CI/CD pipelines
Perform component and integration testing for microservices-based applications
Automate REST APIs using modern API automation tools
Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues in automation design and code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate directly with customers to solve problems
Develop equipment/test automation plans and obtain required approvals
Qualification
Required
10+ years of overall experience in Test Automation / SDET roles
Strong hands-on expertise in automation framework design
Experience in UI and API testing
Experience with CI/CD integrations
Ability to customize and extend automation frameworks
Comfortable interacting with customers to resolve testing and quality issues
Programming: Core Java (strong hands-on), exposure to TypeScript
UI Automation: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
API Automation: Rest Assured
Test Frameworks: TestNG, Cucumber, Serenity, JBehave
Build & CI/CD: Maven or Gradle, Jenkins or GitLab
Version Control & Tools: Git, Jira
Strong understanding of TDD and BDD
Preferred
Experience with Spring Boot for test services or integrations
Experience working in cloud-native or DevOps-driven environments
Prior experience mentoring junior automation engineers
