Responsibilities
Processes prescriptions/medication orders and prepares medications
Ensures proper distribution/delivery of investigational pharmaceutical and supply shipment, provide support for drug procurement staff including unpacking stock, documenting receipt, and proper storage
Ensures the doses are prepared and delivered within established department time frame standards
Completes and documents daily and monthly activity checklists including expired drug checking, cleaning assignments of sterile and nonsterile compounding spaces and ordering supplies
Checks all available means of communication including email and EPIC secure chat messages
Review patients orders daily to verify all documentation is collected and recorded accurately according to SOP and study specific requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet USP 795, USP797 and USP800 guidance
Participates in ongoing clinical trials training and updates
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Required)
2 Years of Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital, infusion center, or retail pharmacy (Required)
Preferred
Experience in high-risk sterile compounding, hazardous compounding, and/or non-sterile compounding (Preferred)
