Responsibilities
Apply DevSecOps methodologies by creating connected IT ops, security and development processes to increase the speed, efficiency and quality with which digital solutions are delivered. Provide DevSecOps mentoring and thought leadership (within advisory and delivery) by focusing on the requirements of our stakeholders and identifying how they would be best served by continuous improvements to our delivery approach. Participates in strategic project planning meetings for insight on risk, cost vs. benefit, and impact
Architect workflows and related technical and business assurance activities that support the transition of application and infrastructure services from development through to production. Drive ownership of the release process and develop tooling to automate repeated tasks. Accelerate deployments with continuous integration/delivery, continuous monitoring and configuration management tools. Analyze the company's security, backup, and redundancy strategies and evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them with the help of developers. Work with Agile development teams to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud or on-premise environment. Train and mentor development, security and infrastructure teams on DevSecOps technologies and best practices
Communicating solution concepts to all levels of management. Establish strong relationships with all stakeholders. Proven facilitation, influencing, oral and written communication and presentation skills
Own the DevSecOps platform roadmap for the company by evaluating new technologies and integrating those that will add value and drive operational efficiency
Provide coaching/ mentorship for IT personnel. Participate in career development and recognition activities. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Lead a small team of contractors and employees as needed
Provide analysis and problem-solving leveraging detail-oriented nature and analytical skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in (Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field) and 8 - 10 years related experience in technical specialty
Demonstrated technical skills relevant to position
Knowledge of business practices and processes relevant to role
Expertise with Azure and Azure DevOps
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
Experience with all elements of change management
Proven capacity to work independently and manage multiple competing demands
Ability to travel domestically
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
In-depth knowledge of Azure continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines using YAML
A thorough grasp of Agile and lean delivery concepts and methodologies, and a history of successfully applying this knowledge to manage teams
