Responsibilities

Work closely with the Vice President of Business Development to support strategic activities and priorities to fully exploit opportunities for prospects, markets, and customers to best position ESI to win the work
Lead the business development effort to identify new opportunities to ensure the long-term profitability of the company
Develop and implement a business development strategy to maintain existing client relationships and to develop new client relationships
Continually conduct customer needs assessments and support the complete business development lifecycle including presentations, feasibility studies, proposal development, closure of sales, contract negotiations, etc
Implement 'Key Account' solutions, including Account Plans to develop programmatic offerings and relationships
Communicate client needs and competitor landscape information to company leadership to increase the success of winning new business
Utilize existing CRM (Salesforce), and other databases to develop new business opportunities that meet the company’s existing and future business goals
Travel to client sites and technology providers as needed to develop and maintain relationships

Required

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management
Career emphasis on business development, sales, marketing, and proposal development
Minimum of five years of experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of energy related projects with a focus on steam and power generation plants
Sales and goal-oriented with a proven track record of successfully obtaining new business
Proficient in both the technical and commercial aspects of energy related engineering, equipment, construction, and commissioning
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point
Proficient with Salesforce, Procore, and AutoDesk and other cloud-based systems
