Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy custom backend solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Build and maintain automations, journeys, and triggered email campaigns
Implement and manage API integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and external systems
Develop and maintain custom scripts using AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL
Leverage data from Salesforce and integrated platforms to personalize and target communications
Ensure technical accuracy, deliverability, and cross-platform email compatibility
Perform ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimization of Marketing Cloud solutions
Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices
Conduct regular system maintenance and performance optimization
Document technical processes, configurations, and enhancements
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Ensure compliance with data protection and email regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM)
Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, trends, and best practices
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Back-End Developer in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture and data models
Experience with Journey Builder, Email Studio, and Automation Studio
Advanced proficiency in SQL, AMPscript, and SSJS
Experience with API integrations and backend data workflows
Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS for email development
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
High attention to detail with a focus on quality and performance
Preferred
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications
Experience supporting enterprise-scale email marketing programs
Exposure to complex data integrations and personalization strategies
