Responsibilities
Manage large, cross-functional projects as specified by FMS initiatives that support division and corporate objectives through Project Management, CI Event Management, Change Management and other best practices
Support proofs-of-concepts (POC’s) to enact new processes, tools, and technologies in Ryder Maintenance locations. Provide Project Management standards and artifacts, liaise between stakeholders, ensure scope, measurement, documentation, communication/training, and feedback forums
Facilitate brainstorming/ideation events, Value Stream process mapping events, and Kaizen/improvement events to discover improvement opportunities as precursors to projects; perform pre-work, manage teams, direct event flow and closure summary and report outs, and follow-up through measurement tracking
Participate in IT-related activities across the scope of assigned projects and POC’s; analyze business processes in tandem with IT, prepare detailed business requirements and documentation, generate and/or review user acceptance criteria, participate in user acceptance testing, assist with change management and training documentation
Support the FMS Transformation Office across the scope of assigned projects and POC’s; executive report out materials and cadence. Manage the preparation and dissemination of quality management data analysis or reports across the scope of assigned projects for use by Maintenance Operations and assist management in their interpretation and application to improve performance
Provide guidance and technical knowledge on process and Continuous Improvement projects
Educate, coach, and mentor CI specialists
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to drive multiple concurrent projects to successful completion
Ability to work cross functionally to achieve desired results
Ability to drive cultural change and effectively improve operational performance
Strong analytical, research, mathematical modeling skills
Working knowledge of AI technologies and their practical application within project workflows (e.g., automation tools, predictive analytics, natural language processing) and leverage AI in everyday work
Demonstrated experience leading projects involving AI/ML solutions, including data driven decision-making, automation tools, or predictive analytics initiatives
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management, prioritization and planning skills
Ability to define business use cases and requirements and work closely with IT partners when in scope for a project/POC
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills; develops and delivers effective materials and presentations; communicate complex concepts or detailed processes in clear, concise terms; appropriately adjust delivery based on audience
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors, executives)
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Flexible and self-driven to excel in a dynamic environment
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems, Operations or Business
5 years or more in Experience in Project, Process or Operations Management
5 years or more in Experience in planning and executing full life cycle DMAIC or PDCA projects and Lean - Kaizen events
5 years or more in Experience in TQM, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, or other Process Improvement practices
Microsoft Office/Teams Suite with emphasis on collaboration and embedded AI Intermediate
Project Management Methodologies and Tools/Software Intermediate
& PMP or TQM or Lean/Six Sigma certification or similar (Green Belt preferred)
Preferred
3 years or more in Experience in implementing advanced data tools, predictive analytics, or embedding AI-enhancements within operational environments
3 years or more in Experience in Transportation Industry or Maintenance Management
3 years or more in Experience with telematics, diagnostics, or mobility/untethered tools
3 years or more in Experience managing vendor relationships for technology solutions
Data Visualization Tools (PowerBI, Tableau) Intermediate
& CMRP or CRL
