MD Consulting is a well-capitalized, vertically integrated multifamily real estate platform seeking a Finance & Operations Analyst to support its Chief Operating Officer. The role focuses on accounting and expands into financial analysis, operational insight, and cross-functional exposure across the business.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance
Prepare and review journal entries with a strong understanding of debits and credits
Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data
Work extensively in Excel to analyze, track, and organize financial information
Support financial analysis tied directly to operational performance
Learn budgeting and forecasting processes across the platform
Assist with financial reporting used by leadership
Gain exposure to how development, construction, and asset management finances connect
Provide support and gain exposure to core operational functions, including:
Payroll inputs and basic HR reporting
Systems coordination and ERP support
Internal controls and process improvement initiatives
ERP optimization support (experience is a plus, not required)

Required

2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, debits, and credits
Advanced Excel skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
High attention to detail and strong follow-through
Interest in operations beyond traditional accounting
Low-ego, team-oriented mindset
Strong curiosity and desire to learn beyond routine tasks
Comfortable supporting a senior executive and handling confidential information
Willingness to roll up sleeves in a hands-on environment

Preferred

ERP optimization support (experience is a plus, not required)
