Responsibilities
Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
Vendor setup/information management
W9/COI collection and maintenance
Processing due invoices for payments
Creation and comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
Transaction coding
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and monthly reconciling books of accounts
Job Costing
Lien Releases
Processing payables for payment
Processing credits and returns
Creating and cutting checks
Filing and file maintenance
Administrative tasks to support all business lines
Equipment finance maintenance
Filings sales and excise tax
Adhere to all accounting standard operating procedures or GAAP
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in accounts payable processes, financial record-keeping, and reporting
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with vendors and team members
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus
Must have reliable transportation as this is a full time on-site position
Preferred
Experience with ERP Accounting systems with a specialization in construction industry preferred
Prior experience in the construction or similar industry is an advantage
