Responsibilities

Install, commission, and calibrate electronic and control‑based systems at customer sites
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software‑related issues in fielded equipment
Perform factory acceptance tests (FATs), site acceptance tests (SATs), and support customer validation activities using established procedures and test equipment
Provide timely, professional technical support to customers on‑site and remotely (phone/email), including outside normal business hours as needed to minimize downtime
Interface directly with customers to quickly and thoroughly analyze problems and implement effective solutions
Complete detailed service reports documenting work performed, system history, and recommendations for design improvements, obsolescence mitigation, or serviceability enhancements
Develop and deliver technical training for customers and internal teams, including formal classroom and hands‑on instruction
Assist in the development of training materials and curriculum, including “train‑the‑trainer” content
Maintain a strong focus on safety when working around high‑voltage systems, moving equipment, and other potential hazards
Support proposal development by providing technical input, cost estimates, and installation/service recommendations
Support Sales and Business Development through technical expertise at customer meetings, industry trade shows, and field demonstrations in civil and military environments
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing to resolve issues and improve products and processes

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
5 or more years of hands‑on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electronic or electromechanical systems
Strong understanding of test and measurement equipment, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power meters
Proven ability to troubleshoot system‑level issues involving hardware, software, and interfaces
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including domestic and international assignments, sometimes on short notice
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and safely use specialized tools and equipment

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience supporting or working within a military airfield or defense aviation environment
Familiarity with navigation, surveillance, RF, or airfield systems
Experience working in culturally diverse or international customer environments
