Responsibilities

Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of single use catheters including therapy catheter and access sheaths
Design and conduct laboratory experiments and mechanical tests
Analyze data from test results and draw conclusions
Document experimental methods, results, and insights in clear, structured reports; present findings effectively to cross-functional project teams
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team—including R&D, Process Development, Design Quality, and Capital Equipment (console) partners—to ensure seamless integration and alignment across system components

Required

Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate level degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Arbor Lakes, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Preferred

Basic understanding of vascular/cardiovascular physiology, catheter materials and construction, and statistical analysis
Experience with laboratory equipment and mechanical testing preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Prior internship or project experience in medical device development or testing
Familiarity with design analysis testing and quality documentation processes

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
