Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of tax return work papers to support tax returns including apportionment information
Compile and prepare supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement tax calculations, including but not limited to the tax provision, deferred taxes and tax journal entries
Compile and prepare supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement tax calculations, including but not limited to the tax provision, deferred taxes and tax journal entries
Participate in federal and state tax audits by gathering requested documentation, preparing supporting work papers and drafting responses
Assist with the filing of Informational reporting such as 1099 and 1098
Assist with maintenance of an updated tax calendar for all types of returns and reporting
Prepare multijurisdictional sales, use, excise, gross receipts, and tax returns and payments with supporting schedules, reconciliations and other documentation as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to communicate articulately both verbally and in writing
Must be able to work independently and as part of various teams
Must be detail oriented and have good analytical skills
Excel proficiency - intermediate
3 years overall tax experience
Preferred
Familiarity with PeopleSoft
Familiarity with Microsoft Access
Experience in timeshare/hospitality industry a plus
Some public accounting and/or corporate tax experience is preferred
