Human Resources Assistant - Indianapolis (10 hours/week)
Versiti Blood Center of Indiana is a leading organization in blood and life-saving services. The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR Business Partner, focusing on onboarding, scheduling, and maintaining employee records.

Responsibilities
Assists with new hire orientations for new employees
Coordinates and provides scheduling and administrative support for interviews, meetings, training events, workshops, and employee events
Distributes necessary employee communication materials
Assists by documenting, maintaining, and reporting information such as recruitment, hiring, new hire on-boarding, performance evaluations, continuing education, employee relations, leaves, transfers, or promotions, and termination
Create and maintain confidential employee files, documents and records in compliance with regulatory requirements
Maintains employee and other HR data in the system or on forms, either electronically or manually, and performs periodic audits
Coordinates and completes other assigned projects, upon request
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-3 years prior customer service and administrative experience
Strong customer service focus with ability to determine customer needs and respond appropriately
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively to all levels of the organization
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet required timelines
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong administrative skills, technical proficiency
Ability to apply judgment to detailed but very structured written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving concrete variable in standardized work procedures
Work independently and with minimal supervision

General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine)
Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
