1+ years expAfros & Audio Podcast Festival is seeking an Assistant Facilitator and Program Back-Up to provide instructional support and cover for the Primary Facilitator when unavailable. This role involves managing small groups, tracking attendance, and assisting with audio projects and event preparation.

Responsibilities
Support instruction, supervise small groups, manage equipment, and help rotate students across roles
Track attendance, capture show notes, and assist with editing tasks and showcase prep
Serve as back-up facilitator to run a session if the Primary is out; follow the existing lesson plan and maintain continuity
Support mid-year audio projects and culminating listening event
Qualification
Required
1+ year experience in youth facilitation, production assistance, or media education within audio, podcasting, radio, or related fields
Demonstrated audio production skills, including basic editing and post-production workflows such as cutting, leveling, exporting, and file management
Working knowledge of Descript
Ability to explain foundational audio concepts clearly to beginners, including mic technique, recording basics, and simple post-production practices
Clear, calm classroom presence. Reliable and punctual
Comfort supporting hands-on learning environments that combine creative instruction with technical skill-building
PETS clearance and fingerprinting prior to any site work
