Nuclear Training Accreditation Specialist

Finezi Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Training Accreditation Specialist to support the Diablo Canyon Power Plant Learning Services department. The role focuses on maintaining and improving accredited training programs across Operations, Maintenance, and Technical disciplines while ensuring compliance with INPO and NRC standards.

Responsibilities

Support maintenance of National Nuclear Accrediting Board accreditation for nuclear training programs
Coordinate accreditation preparation activities and contribute to the Accreditation Self-Evaluation Report (ASER)
Ensure training programs comply with INPO accreditation guidelines and NRC regulations
Design, develop, and manage instructor training programs, including initial and ongoing instructor qualification training
Develop and maintain Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) procedures and documentation
Conduct instructor evaluations and recommend improvement actions based on performance data
Develop and execute self-assessment plans for the training department
Coordinate the self-assessment process and prepare documentation for Training Challenge Board reviews
Establish and monitor performance indicators and metrics to maintain accreditation standards
Provide guidance and support to training supervisors and staff
Facilitate meetings and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Manage projects and initiatives related to training and accreditation improvements

Required

Bachelor's Degree (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting training programs as an instructor or equivalent
Knowledge of INPO accreditation guidelines and NRC regulations
Strong understanding of accreditation and self-assessment processes
Experience with SAT (Systematic Approach to Training)
Ability to coordinate training programs and manage multiple initiatives
Strong communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills
Must be willing to work onsite at Diablo Canyon Power Plant
Must agree to a 4/10 Alternate Work Schedule (AWS)
Background check and drug screening required (conducted by PG&E)
Unescorted access badge required
Personal mobile phone required for multi-factor authentication

Preferred

Degree in Education or equivalent (preferred)
Experience in nuclear training, power generation, or highly regulated industries preferred
Naval Nuclear Training experience may be considered equivalent
Experience in nuclear power or utility industry
Familiarity with performance indicators and accreditation renewal processes
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
