Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex , Visualforce , Lightning Web Components , and declarative tools
Customize Salesforce functionality to meet business requirements, including data modeling, workflows, and automation
Assist in integrating Salesforce with internal and external systems using APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
Stay updated on new Salesforce features and recommend enhancements
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments using tools like ADO , Copado , or GitHub
Automate deployment processes to reduce manual effort and minimize risk
Manage version control (Git) and branching strategies for Salesforce projects
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles where applicable
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
Enforce security and compliance standards during deployments
Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, admins, architects, and business analysts) to align technical solutions with business goals
Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, processes, and deployment strategies
Provide training and support for Salesforce users on DevOps processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of Salesforce application development experience and 2+ years supporting CI/CD, release management, or DevOps practices
Salesforce technologies: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components
DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, Salesforce DX, Copado, ADO
Scripting languages: Python, Shell
Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure
Strong understanding of CI/CD, version control, and release management
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
Experience supporting Salesforce in a government, public sector, or regulated environment
Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508 / WCAG)
Experience with automated testing and deployment validation for Salesforce
Knowledge of information security practices, data protection, and compliance requirements
Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery methodologies
