System Admin (W2 Only)
Apptad is seeking a System Admin to assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, and network equipment. The role involves providing technical support to end-users, managing user accounts, and ensuring compliance with IT security best practices.
Responsibilities
Provides technical support to end-users, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems
Assists with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, and network equipment
Retrieves and distributes EDI data files from health plan websites and FTP servers and submits outbound electronic medical claims to health plans and clearinghouses
Provides website user support for the company’s primary external-facing Line of Business application
Works with senior System Administrators on system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
Assists with the onboarding and offboarding of new employees
Participate in regular and temporary teams as assigned by the Director of Information Technology
Performs other duties as assigned, including cross-training and providing coverage within the IT Department
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of Windows desktop and server operating systems, as well as fundamental networking principles
Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other essential IT services
Knowledge of VMware ESXi
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
Positive attitude and ability to multitask efficiently
Previous experience in IT support
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
