Responsibilities
Managing cost controls, forecasting, change control, and reporting across multiple projects
Partnering closely with Project Managers to track and manage project costs at a granular level
Comparing monthly actuals vs. project baselines , identifying variances, and supporting corrective actions
Performing variance analysis , cost breakdowns, and schedule reviews
Supporting forecast optimization , including reducing forecast variances
Completing monthly reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Applying project controls methodologies such as EAC (Estimate at Completion) and ETC (Estimate to Complete)
Monitoring baseline plans while aligning project execution with fiscal budgets
Generating periodic Project Controls analytics and performance reports
Validating and verifying data to support accurate project controls metrics
Distributing and archiving project controls documentation as required
Collaborating with a small team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers
Working in partnership with a senior Project Controls Lead to support overall project success
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Project Controls
Proven background in cost controls and cost management
Experience managing project costs at a detailed, line-item level
Solid understanding of project budgets
Solid understanding of direct and indirect labor
Solid understanding of accruals
Solid understanding of overheads
Solid understanding of amortization
Solid understanding of cost allocations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Technical aptitude with the ability to integrate and analyze data from multiple systems or databases
Comfortable working in an intermediate-level role with general oversight
